I’d like to provide some introspection on loose ends I see people commonly confused about. I think that Agatha is so torn about Rio because the one singular time that she took a break to not kill witches was when Rio took Nicky. In her grief, she must’ve come to the conclusion that Rio was holding off until Agatha didn’t give her what she wanted—i.e “you get your power I get my bodies”. It has always been transactional in Agatha’s mind. I think she always thought that Rio only loved her for how much she killed, when the whole time Rio was just falling deeper and deeper while Agatha built all this grief and misery. When billy asked if this is how Nicky died, it reminded Agatha of all the others she sacrificed to keep Nicky alive. I think. And Rio probably just thought Agatha was getting power and leaving her love gifts like usual😭
