A traumatized individual losing his original body and life and the people that he cares about, becoming emotionally detached from everything and everyone else around him as a result, coming to see the world as akin to fiction and taking on this sort of persona as a cunning manipulator, only for him to eventually be unable to avoid confronting the reality of his <de/at>tachment once someone is stubborn enough to show him enough kindness to crack into his shell.
