Charlotte's Words. I had to do one for Debbie Reynolds too. I know that she was characters like Molly Brown and Kathy Selden, but the one that stands out the most to me is Charlotte. There was always something so ethereal about her voice as this spunky little spider. Someone wise and accepting of harsh realities, but willing to go out of her way to help someone that she considered worth helping. There's a gentle quality to her final words with Wilbur, a conveyance about accepting death as a normal thing. I still remember how sad this scene made me as a kid. It's important though that things like this are addressed in stories for children. Understanding life's ephemerality is an essential part of appreciating it more fully. Quote by E.B. White, from Charlotte's Web.
I was in the bathroom and I found my somewhat-pet spider Claude dead.
DEAD.
Now he's just some spider that I used ta know.
