Sombore late night talks: The Problems and Repercussions of Time-travel
Hi, it's me Sam and I was thinking about this topic for the past few months and finally wanted to write about it, the topic is TIME TRAVEL! (it's totally not like you guessed from the title lol)
For many years people have been theorising and talking about the topic of time travel for years, whether that be the fictional or theoretical possibilities, it is still a much talked about subject. Time travel is something most notably known for in sci-fi fiction like Back to the Future, Doctor Who, The Orville, Family Guy, and even Steven Universe. The fact that the use of time can be theoretically manipulated and used is something mind blowing for humans, that's why it's such a well used plot in the media.
When people talk about time travel, they often talk about "the butterfly effect" and things like that, which can cause irritable harm or damage to the space time continuum and cause time shattering effects. Say a person from the future goes back in time and stops Hitler from causing mass genocide, this could lead to an alternate or split reality where the effect of this one action can cause a sort of domino effect and create an even worse future, this shows how one persons actions can rewrite history and change the future just by trying to fix the past. The butterfly effect creates problems, people make those problems by trying to make a change to the past, thus creating even bigger problems.
While on the topic, here is a quick question for any people who think about this: if a person from this point in time (present 1) changes an event in the past (past 1), wouldn't that person be removed because their universe changes into a new reality because of the change in (past 1)? This action would create a new timeline where (present 1) would become (present 2), the person from (present 1) wouldn't be in the (past 1) any more because it would be replaced by (past 2), the past would be rewritten and would most likely remove the person from the timeline because the wouldn't have went back in time to begin with because the past never got to happen.
Another question I have been pondering over is the idea of how the person who time travels to the future would be missing for that amount of time.
The person moves from say 2026, and they time travel to 2036, would they be considered missing by everyone during that time span? The do leave that moment in time, so I believe they would just be missing or presumed dead and time would just progress until the person would pop back into existence at 2036. It's the same kind of question like the first Jumanji movie where the boy got trapped inside the board game, he got put inside back in time but was brought to the present day in the film. Time didn't pass for him, but it passed for everyone else outside the game, he was effectively brought to the future and outlived even his parents. (Ik it's not actual time travel, but it's still a decent note to bring up). Even this could be a form of the butterfly effect, they are effectively changing the past while in the present.
The question: if a person is taken from a certain point in time, would they disappear/be missing until they find themselves in the future?
My answer: Yes because of the passage of time until they found themselves in 2036. Time still moves in a constant rate.
Idk what else to write bc it is already 1:30 💀😭

Part three of my handmade Flambae Plushie!
Last night I finished putting on his boots and his wrist cuffs, I also made a rough sketch overlay on a pic to see what would work and what I should do next. (Idk what I am going to do for his hair, but I guess I'll get to it when I get there 😭)
Part one of my Flambae Plushie making!
I just finished the torso and feet, and I'm literally almost done with this bc I've been working for 5 hours straight sitting on the floor 😭
(I have limited colors of fabric, but I will be making Waterboy and hopefully Robert! 😁)

Okay, new story/comic idea:
-Person who is in their own personal hell, but its working retail at a store like Walmart or Target.
-BUT! they don't realize its hell and they actually like their job bc they have ADHD and are on the spectrum.
It would go like this:
*Y/N is working at the clothing department and is folding the clothes that customers tried on or messed up and a lady walks beside Y/N and knocks down the pile of shirts on purpose.*
"Oops, sorry~" *She would say in a sarcastic tone*
"Its alright ma'am, its an honest mistake!" *Y/N would say in with a smile and a sweet tone as they pick up the shirts and begin folding them as well, clearly unfazed and misunderstanding the woman's intentions.*
*This making the Female demon disguised as a human confused and stunned, before she walks away bc she failed.*
-An example of the world building would be that the boss makes tasks for Y/N to do be utterly impossible, but they still manage to do the best job and complete the task to the dismay of the Demon boss.
-Another example could be that when Y/N goes for their lunch break, someone eats their lunch or their favorite donuts in the fresh employee Dunkin Donuts box is already eaten, maybe even their least favorite song plays on the stores PA system plays a lot, but they don't care much.
I want to know what someone else would do with this idea lol!
What do you enjoy doing most in your days?
Thansk for the ask @tharyane !
Ilike writing, drawing, listening to my favorite songs, playing some games, and watching random things I like on YouTube mostly
I've been mostly drawing or scrolling through Tumblr
He wants out of the box, no one can leave the plushie box before my move.
