Ranulf/Alfonse: The first dream my Ranulf got in the Aether Center was one of friendship with Alfonse, please love him Alfie. I don’t know for you but! That could be pretty interesting whatever relationship they have, cause there are lots of stuff to develop here and also Alfonse talking about King stuff with the literal babysitter of a future king is Good too.

Odin/Ninian: Oh no, don’t let Odin befriend her she’ll never live in peace again because OH MY GOD LADY NINIAN OF THE LEGENDS OF ORE - blah blah blah forever. Would she be able to handle him, would she??

Kris/Orochi: Step on me Orochi eeeeeeer, I mean step on Kris-I MEAN I DON’T KNOW *panics*.

Boyd/Link: They can be OOOOORYYAAAAAA buddies swinging their weapons around… I think Boyd could learn a thing or two about cutting grass and breaking jars- okay sorry, but I do think a friendship between them at least would be cute???

    “No, no, not at all. Actually, I’m sorry for avoiding you as much as I have.”

    In truth, he feels guilty about it--everyone here in the Halidom is plenty friendly (save for one or two individuals who he simply had personal qualms against). It’s just that--and his brow furrows, thinking about it--he can’t help but feel the poor woman ought to know what the hell she’s getting into if she’s going to interact with Heinwald. Because, sure, as intelligent as his partner is, he’s something of an idiot when it comes to social niceties. At least when something piqued his interest. 

    (...In retrospect, now he feels guilty for assuming the worst of Heinwald, too.)

“Is there a rule against staring at someone while praying- or rather, while they’re praying?” Niles asked, his lips curling up into a smile. He shook his clasped hands to emphasize that he was at least trying. He didn’t know something so simple could have so many proper rules. Wouldn’t the gods above accept any message or plea regardless of the time or body position?

“Besides, you’re just so beautiful while you pray with that soft smile on your face. Are you sure you’re not descended from the heavens yourself? ‘Cause you look like an angel.” That would surely bring color to Hildegarde’s pale cheeks, and he would surely pay for it later for disrupting her time of prayer. However, her blush brought Niles great joy, and if God would ever be so kind, perhaps her punishment wouldn’t be so serious.

         Admittedly, he hadn’t been paying the closest of attention to what Ike had been saying. He understood the general of what was being spoken of, the overall message of conversation, but his mind had begun wandering and the precise words themselves were lost to him. Thus when Ike fell quiet it took Soren a few moments to truly realize, then another moment to recall what the man had even said. When it finally struck him what he had missed, a blush flared over his pale cheeks and his eyes widened as he glanced at Ike incredulously. 

        “…. What?” Desperate was his attempt to will the blush away, the mage immediately twisting to face opposite of Ike in an effort to hide the faint happy quirk of his lips. He won’t lie and say he understood why, nor will he admit that he perhaps maybe liked it, as it is much effort was needed to even keep himself from chuckling with amazement. “Were… Did you just try and flirt with me…?” It seemed as though that was the intent, however as Ike was not exactly a ‘smooth talker’ Soren felt reluctant to call it anything more than an attempt.

Henriette tenderly looked at the letter in her hands, a gentle smile on her face as her eyes re read the words again and again. Warmth blooming in her chest as her eldest’s wishes, she loved him so much! She had been disappointed they weren’t able to meet on their last meeting, but the fact he didn’t forget about her on such a day made her really happy.

Her son was so kind-hearted and amazing, she was so proud of him!

    “Why, I don’t know what you’re talking about, sir!”

    Of course Fritz would be the first to see through her ruse–she’d be lying if she said she hadn’t expected as much. It was a flimsy disguise, after all–just street clothes as opposed to her typical flouncy frills and bows–but it was still all too easy for her to blend into the crowd. Most of the troupe wouldn’t even notice her presence; for all they knew, their ringmaster was still backstage taking a sick day with Stella to look after her. (It was a perfect excuse–she was awfully strict about keeping anyone sick off the stage and in their own quarters until they recovered, after all; everyone else knew better than to risk catching whatever she had!)

    Her master plan had been several days in the making. Annelie had come to the realization that if it was the guests view of the circus that made or broke its success, then the best way to judge their newest lineup of acts was to watch it from a guest’s perspective! She’d never sat back and watched her troupe from the seats, so it was no wonder she’d felt so stuck on deciding where to take things next. And better yet, what better way to test her troupe’s readiness than to have them perform without an integral part of their team? The only bump in the road was that she couldn’t very well tell her troupe that she would be watching from the wings. The performance would surely be different if they knew she were judging it, and that defeated the whole point! So she’d carefully begun feigning sick–a cough here, working up a sweat to fake a fever, and viola! She’d changed clothes and snuck out the camp once everyone had left and not a second later.

    An innocent, ‘who, me?’ look in her eyes greets Fritz as she looks back at him, hands clasped behind her back as she bounces on the balls of her feet.
