Ok, so canonically, Joey and Mai V. have a weird “thing” going on but, that is a bit icky cause of the, ahem, the age difference of eight years. Anzu/ Téa would be more likely, but there would be a disconnect. In my AU verse, things between these three remained platonic as they struggled to survive in the hellscape of Domino, as they have to rely on each other and grow as individuals. Due to the need for survival, a touchy-feely character like Joey would naturally be touch-starved, but romance would be far from the top of his list unless you considered taking down the bourgeoisie an ideal date.

 Since I’m relatively new to the fandom, I’m still feeling things out character-wise, but here is a list of ships I would find/already find interesting with my muse. They may or may not work due to my verse, but that doesn’t stop me. I can just, “modify” the timeline, hehe. All other muses must be of age (18+) though, and I despise incestual ships.

- Devotionshipping || Joey x Anzu/Téa=> Joey, the once pervert, redeemed

- Buddyshipping ||  Tristan/Honda x Joey=> bros before hoes, heh 

- Fade/Frightshipping (Yami Marik/Yami Bakura)=>  would be interesting, but wouldn’t really be a ship, but a hate/spite-fueled bromance based upon a borderline nihilistic Joey. Not really sure how this would happen to begin with, hnng.

- Irateshipping || Malik/Marik x Joey => not sure how this one would either, but I’m open to it. 

Puppyshipping || Seto Kaiba x Joey=> unlikely, more of an awkward, strict bromance/cooperation

Toughshipping || Bandit Keith x Joey=> definitely a testosterone-fueled bromance, age-difference makes this iffy. lots of yelling.

Wishshipping || Joey x Yugi Mutou => soft;; feels all around, the most likely I think, but, angst magnet
