what fckh8 is doing looks very similar to how companies will all of a sudden turn everything they sell pink for breast cancer awareness but really all theyre doing is making bank off of people's sympathy and trust that any of that money will be used for its intended cause.
you could compare the two causes but i feel like fckh8 has this extra sinister element to it because their focus is on a polarizing social issue and not combating something that is universally viewed as bad - you see lots of opposition to lgbt rights but not opposition to curing breast cancer.
it's manipulative. "want to prove yourself to be a REAL advocate for the gay community? buy this merchandise!" too many allies already harbor a lackadaisical attitude towards these sorts of causes, and companies like fckh8 are only encouraging it.
