Given how often the Bard comes around to pester visit Zhongli while he's working, one day Hu Tao asked Venti when Zhongli's birthday was, seeing as he'd refused to tell her a date himself. Never one to miss an opportunity to be a brat really good friend, Venti told her that it was the day of the now debunk Rite of Descension (not technically a lie).

Ever since then, this started a new tradition for that day that had once been such a special occasion in Zhongli's life. A day where, while not all of Liyue, all Zhongli's closest friends get together to give him gifts, treat him to food and do pretty much anything he wants (barring letting him work and with the addition of a few 'childish' party games).

The bard of course, is always present for the festivities and always comes prepared with wine, some embarrassing story about the man (usually doctored for general listening or blown way out of proportion) and an obscene birthday song, the goal of which is always to get the man to blush (or chuck a rock at him).

because i love both of my toni-tonis a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smol tonia is very fun because of her chaotic gremlin antics, while tol tonia has a special spot in my heart due to being the original muse of this blog and, consequently, where a lot of my thoughts for rp and worldbuilding went towards. hell, the reason im so absurdly obsessed with leylines is bc i threw it into tol tonia’s backstory and now im like. Sits Here.

✰ How did you decide your muse’s skills and talents? Do they relate to their occupation in some way?

My biggest HC is that Huffman is the Scharfricter of Mondstadt. Making him the executioner, healer, and mortician of Mondstadt. How I came to this conclusion can be boiled down to three things:

My obsession with Sakamoto’s INNOCENT manga

My HC that Huffman is neutral and isn’t loyal to the knights, but to Mondstadt. Making him indifferent to working with the Fatui and such.

Lisa’s Story 3: “ By negotiating with Kaeya, she offloaded the job of restocking and dispensing medication to Huffman and Swan, and had Flora start sending Donna over to deliver herbs on a daily basis. ”

Disregarding my bias and going with point 3...

Lisa is someone who wants to avoid as many issues as possible, it makes her very orderly and almost a control freak that she doesn’t want to offload things to others since...it’s better if she just takes care of it herself. A perfectionist. That said, it took Kaeya to suggest offloading these specific tasks to Huffman and Swan. Swan is a rank lower than Huffman I figure due to their outfit differences. So this begs the question:

Why does Lisa trusts Kaeya’s judgement in that Huffman is best qualified to handle restocking and dispensing medication.

Going back to my reason (1) and wanting to make Huffman a combat medic, and researching heavily about German Executioners...I learned that Scharfricters encompass everything I desire: an executioner, a healer, and a mortician.

It would lead Lisa to have faith in Huffman in taking over the medicinal inventory since he is the one prescribing them, making them, etc. After all, any ordinary person could just do stocking and distributing...but if Huffman is the best of the best in medical training...she’d feel comfortable for him handling such duties.

That said...

It centers Huffman’s skills in being a medic more than a knight. He can defend himself and others, he is physically fit as well as a very level headed individual. His expertise lies in healing in the traditional sense. No vision. No nothing. Just plain ‘ole medicinal herbs and maybe some alchemy thrown in here and there.

He has some leadership skills ( which lead him to being the Calvary Captain before Diluc ) and has a close bond with both Diluc and Kaeya. Hence why Kaeya recommended Huffman and Swan to Lisa - I presume.
