Hourglass quilt top: Last month, I finished up the hourglass quilt top that I’ve been working on for a long while now. (I started making the blocks last October, so it was almost a year in the works!) I forgot to post about it - so here are some photos of the finished quilt top!
It ended up being very big! It is 94" x 96", so it will be a large queen-sized quilt for our bed. It includes 64 rectangular “blocks” which each include 1 large hourglass block, 3 small hourglass blocks, and 1 strip. After connecting two blocks together, I added another longer strip to each pair. So overall, the quilt top used 256 hourglass blocks and 96 strips of fabric, all solids (a mixture of Kona Cotton, Riley Blake Confetti Cottons and RJR Cotton Supreme Solids fabrics).
Linking up with Finish it up Friday at Crazy Mom Quilts.
