damn when you take a step back and look at Sun's character, you can start to realize like damn he's kinda fucked up tbh Sun was a kid himself but he had to be a safety net, someone to rely on for his planets. he had to be parental/ older sibling/ guardian figure for them no one else was going to do it, so he had to do it. Sun never quite got the chance to be a kid or a young star he had to grow up quick so his planets didn't have to he didn't have any other star to rely on or to talk to. he had to do it on his own also with him constantly losing planets back in the day, his proto planets, the old rockies that jupiter didn't mean to destroy, proto and theia. he lost and lost and lost dude got trauma i mean who wouldn't be constantly stressed out about the planets that you have now, when so many of them back then have "died" in his solar system sun wasn't perfect by any means. he messed up a lot and i mean a lot but at least he's trying to be better for them now
