The Quest for Eris' Moon

I know there are a number of fics out there involving the dwarf planet moons and why all of them apart from Charon are absent. I tried to pick a reason that I haven't explicitly seen yet - fear of the dangers of the Kuiper Belt - so hopefully I'm not inadvertently copying anyone with my explanation as to why Dysnomia doesn't hang out with Eris (at least in the Belt).
Edit: also, "astroloblin" is apparently the correct spelling, at least according to the SolarBalls wiki. It's not how I would spell it based on how it seems to be pronounced, but I figured I'd stay true to the main source for that sort of thing.
