@solreznik Sol's RV; early evening
Well, he didn't come right to her with news, which was never a good sign. Or maybe it was. Not finding Henry was better than finding a dead Henry, after all. Not that she was thinking like that at this point. Maybe she should be, after so much time. But she's not.
What Ginny is doing is trekking over to the junkyard to climb the rickety front steps of Sol's RV. He'd returned earlier today, she heard. Maybe he's just been too exhausted to venture over to her house by the graveyard. Maybe he had to take Henry to the community center, introduce him to the council. Maybe, maybe, maybe.
Those possibilities deflate faster than a popped balloon after Ginny knocks and Sol answers the door. The look on his face tells her what she has to know. Still, Ginny lingers, stepping back onto solid ground and searching his expression. Even going so far as to prompt, hopeful despite so much: "Anything?"
