Okay, so this might get really sappy but I seriously love shownu sooooo much it needs to be done.

Monsta X is the second kpop group I ever listened to. They are the reason I decided to delve in deeper, so to speak. I watched the MV to All In and I was hooked. Next I watched a live performance of All In and I had never seen anything like it. It was my first kpop live show I had seen. All the dancing and singing and performance quality blew my mind.

 I started watching interviews and funny things of theirs on youtube and I had established a bias. Jooheon. Yes I know this post is supposed be about Shownu but I’m getting there. 

While focusing on Jooheon, I figured out my bias wrecker was Shownu. Shownu pains me. He is such a good leader and tries his best to  give others the spotlight. He takes such good care of everyone. He really is a gentle giant. 

Here’s a countdown of things I love about Shownu (in no particular order)

1: Kind Budha smile

It’s so squishy and it makes me melt.

2: His arms (I wasn’t going to do physical thing but you know fuck it) 

3: His relationship with Jooheon

Shownu takes such good care of Jooheon and it makes me sooooo happy I can’t even describe it

4: His relationship with I.M

He is such a good hyung to him event hough they can get awkward at times.

5: His relationship with Wonho:

It was a debate when Monsta X was formed, who would be their leader. In the end Shownu was chosen, but he never throws that at Wonho and tries his best to confer when making big decisions.

6: His relationship with Minhyuk:

Minhyuk and Shownu are polar opposites. Remember in Monsta X’s right now, when Shownu chose Minhyuk because he missed him the most and he was lonely. Minhyuk makes Shownu feel less lonely, my heart

7: His relationship with Kihyun:

I chose this gif with a reason. Kihyun and Shownu were so awkward at first, vocal wise they were top 2 on No Mercy, so there was a little rivalry there. But seeing how far they’ve come since then warms my heart.

 8: His relationship with Hyungwon:

I feel like SHownu gets kind of shy around Hyungwon, idk.then again i’d be shy to if I was around someone that pretty. Shownu gave up lines in Beautiful for Hyungwon because Hyungwon didn’t have many. Shownu is just a really good hyung.

9: LIPSTICK PRINCE

The fact that one of the like most toughest looking idols went on Lipstick Prince.... AND WON still has me shook.

10: Hit The stage

Honestly, I didn’t watch the full show. I only watched Shownu’s dances and every time he left me shook. Remember when he broke the damn stage. It was hilarious. Or when Bora was trying to help him and her shoe flew off and smacked him in the crotch. THAT WAS HYSTERICAL.

13: GREAT LEADER

like I sadi before, Shownu takes such good care of everyone. He is one of the best leaders I have seen for a group and he doesn’t take anyone for granted.

Thank you Monsta X and Shownu for cheering me up when I’m sad and always giving me something to look forward too.
