Alejandro Anreus, the people's art historian returns to SoHarlem to discuss three Caribbean masters, Jaime Antonio González Colson, born in Puerto Plata, Domincan Republic; Mario Carreño, Cuban Artist; and Rosado del Valle, renowned painter, muralist, and the first to work abstractionism in Puerto Rico.
Apart from the obvious education connections between Colson, Carreño and Rosado del Valle, the talk will also highlight the work of three very significant Dominican artists that lived and worked in NYC: Dario Suro, Ada Balcacer and Freddy Rodríguez. - Alejandro Anreus
