Ooooh! Thank you for the live blog link! Gonna go stalk it. I mean read it.
Sorry for the late response on this, but you're very welcome!
softcommunication replied to your post: Wait a second... Are you seriously at Comic Con right now? Or are those someone else's tags? CONFUSION? Also, ENVY.
No kidding. I wish I was at the Veronica Mars panel right now. Strictly for research purposes of course.

I’m trying to will myself there using the powers of my mind.
Maybe if we combine all our powers, we can perform some sort of Captain Planet-esque miracle that enables us all to be there, right now. That seems legit, right?
(also, psst, live blog of the V. Mars panel by Alan Sepinwall here)

I don’t know. You may want to rethink the Billy Zoom’s smile omission.
I didn't say omit, I said do justice to. And folks, Tumblr is a static medium. You can't do justice to the Smile of Zoom here. Though people have tried:

YOU HAVE 4000 WORDS????? D: D: D: I am so behind…
Only because I picked a story I'd already written 3500 words of, hahaha. I'm a complete cheater. I'm sure I've written much less than anyone else since the challenge started.

You realize this just means that all of your followers will volunteer themselves as feedback-generators for your work in progress? ok, I speak for myself. As well as everyone else. :)
Heeee, aww, you're too kind! I totally wasn't trying to fish for feedback even though in retrospect that's just what it looks like, ha. The one I'm complaining about is for the Het Big Bang challenge though, so I can't post it publicly 'til AUGUST! (I KNOW.) Hopefully that will mean I'll just keep adding ridiculous Nick/Jess scenes to it for the next two months, then?! (btw, as a general PSA, they're still looking for fan artists and beta readers for the challenge fics!)
I feel so conflicted about posting WIPs though! (WsIP? Attorneys general?) Especially long ones. It's awesome to get lots of feedback (and I think WIPs totally get more comments than finished fics, which seems a little sad). But what if I can't deliver an ending?! I don't want to be one of those monsters leaving everyone hanging, haha. (I AM STILL BITTER OVER THE SHOEBOX PROJECT, AHEM.) Or having it hanging over me like an axe of fannish guilt! (I did a long co-written WIP in Office fandom and by the end I felt super differently about the characters and the concept and it was basically torture finishing it up. Wah-wah.)
That said, crowdsourcing ideas for the notional You've Got Mail a/u has been sheer delight and I could get used to that kind of idea collaboration! Which reminds me, I need to post all the awesome suggestions I got.

Yeah, early 30s is not middle aged. I think 40 is usually the starting line.
iloveyouandilikeyou replied to your post: allrightfine replied to your post: ...
i’m in my early 20s but i don’t consider middle aged until ~45 or so. though your argument is v compelling.
So apparently I was somehow not a part of the cultural zeitgeist on the definition of middle-aged. 40+ IT IS, FOLKS.
softcommunication replied to your post: friendly reminder that jake johnson was jake johnson: degenerate alcoholic professional gambler before he became jacke johnson: middle-aged heartthrob. so. jake johnson /was/ nick miller before he became jake johnson. it’s probably part of the reason i’m in love with him, because i’d be full-on in love with nick miller too if he would just shower more and open a real bank account.
Middle aged? Really?!
Google says Jake Johnson is 34 going on 35 in a little over a week here, so I think that's pretty accurate! It does feel a little weird, doesn't it?
softcommunication replied to your photo: Had the most intense and bizarre dream last night...
And somehow explain how Lorca was sleeping with women all of a sudden.
Easily done:
1) Your question assumes that sexuality is a fixed thing. For many people it isn't. 2) It was a dream.
