nimble fingers run over the feather with a smile. the headmaster picks it up and holds it up to the light in his office, checking the plumage to make sure qrow has been taking care of himself. it is a strong, black color, though filaments are a little ragged. the smile becomes softer, glad for the update. glad to know qrow is alive and doing well. wizard sets the feather back down on his desk and moves to crack open the window of his office. perhaps he will be coming home today.
