Following her birth on the 29th of April 2007, Infanta Sofía was presented to the public 6 days later on the 4th of May when she was discharged from hospital with her mother.

On the 12th of July 2010, Infanta Sofía was among members of the Spanish Royal Family that received the Spanish National Football Team who had just won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa .

Infanta Sofía enjoyed Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer’s Charity Match at La Caja Magica  on the 22nd of December 2010.

“We are very excited that she is named after the queen and I think she (Queen Sofía) likes it too, it’s a very nice name.” - Queen Letizia (then Princess of Asturias) during the public presentation of Sofía, 4 May 2007.

On the 15th of September 2010, Infanta Sofía started her primary school education at Colegio Santa María de los Rosales, the same school her father attended as a child.
