I'm not going to scroll through the tags rn bc its almost time to sleep but I'm p sure s4 of Cable Girls ends in like. 1931-32ish assuming every single season is ~a year apart (which it seems like they are). The Spanish Civil War takes place from 1936-39 right? Now stay with me here.
SofĂa, in the last shot of her in s4 w her abuela and Cuevas, looks to be no more than 8 or 9 years old, maybe 10 at the most. She would be like 13-15 at the beginning of the war and maybe old enough for what I'm guessing s5 goes into (says she's on the front lines but even the resistance wouldn't let a 14yo join them and fight). If s5 takes place at the end of the war (ca. 1938 or 39), then she would be 16-18 depending on how old you place her in s4.
I haven't started s5 quite yet but I can't imagine they would place it at the tail end of the war for a lot of reasons, or maybe they would. I dont know! But SofĂa definitely seems too young to be on the front lines if you consider she may be 14 fucking years old.
