The form of communication has evolved over time from ages to ages, which brought us to the era we are currently in, the Social Era. Through these evolutions the existense of different literacies became known. Like the Media Literacy, Technology Literacy, News Literacy, Information Literacy, and many more. And understanding the importance or relevance of these literacies are a must so that we will be able to utilize it properly today and survive in the social era that we are currently in. Information Literacy, it is defined as the ability to be able to identify when an information is needed and when it's not and also how to read, analyze and interpret these informations. It is important that we know and understand this literacy and any other literacy so that we will be to properly know the relevance of these in the mids of social era.
Understanding information literacy in the midst of social era is relevant because it help us know how, when and why we should use it in giving, analyzing, and interpreting an information. In being a Information Literate individual in social era we will be able to make use of the informations that we can gather in a good and proper way that can help other people. We will be able to know how we can use it to help other people by giving them informations that is relevant and true. Also, we will be able to know when is the right time to use our knowledge as an information literate individual where no one will be harmed. And lastly, why? Why should we use it in givong, analyzing and interpreting an information? It is so that we can survive in this social era and help other people survive, being an information literate individual gives you the advantage in understanding and making use of the informations you have gathered and also help other people with it.
