Beau was freezing. It was distracting--for some reason, he'd woken up so cold that it was hard to do anything but shiver. Nothing, not even a hot shower, seemed to warm him up. The chill was annoying enough that he considered just spending the day in his apartment. After several minutes of deliberation, however, he decided that wasn't possible. He might not like it, and he might be turning into a block of ice, but Beau needed to get some work done.
Beau couldn’t help but frown up at the interior of the library as he stepped inside. He spent a fair share of his time here, being a solitary guy with a fondness for books. But last night was weird. He’d been dreading meeting with his study group--it wasn’t that he disliked the people. Not really. Group projects were just the bane of his existence. And something about that book they found wasn’t right. The strangeness of it sent chills down his spine. It was like something out of a film. All in all, it was something he didn’t want to think about ever again.
Beau headed towards one of the quieter sections of the library, hoping to get some work done. His hands were shoved deep in his pockets in an attempt to warm them up a little bit. To his surprise, he saw one of his fellow classmates not far off. Normally he’d avoid people he didn’t know quite well, but something in him felt like he had to see if the weirdness of the night before was some kind of dream.
“Hey there,” Beau hesitated as he looked at them, suddenly not sure exactly what to say, “So. Last night was...interesting”
