Everypony stopped talking and turned their heads. Pasting on a smile and some fake confidence, Soarin waved. “Hey.”
“Why if it isn’t mah best customer from the gala!” Applejack exclaimed. “How’re you doin’, sir?”
Soarin smiled and waved a hoof. “You don’t have to call me that.”
Fluttershy gave him a small smile and waved, while Rarity’s eyes flitted between him and Dash.
Rainbow smiled, albeit a bit nervously. “Hey, Soarin. What’s up?”
Soarin gave a fake cough. “Not much. Figured I better be a good Wonderbolt and say hello to one of our trainees,” he said with a small grin.
“You mean the best one?” she asked, puffing out her chest.
He chuckled. “Oh, yeah. Of course.”

One of the oldies indeed! Certainly one of the first MLP ships I can remember seeing.
Cool Runnings is a flight coach for young pegasi, and she embodies her name very well in her teaching style. Made a mistake? Hit a few clouds? No worries! Dust yourself off, take a deep breath, and she’ll be right back up there with you. It’s no surprise that a lot of ponies keep in touch with her even after they’ve graduated.
