My sister and I were chatting about Elsa, my decapitated Fiddle Leaf Fig tree. (Yes it has a name. Names for the leaves she let go❄️😉). Anyway — Elsa has been growing something new 🌱❄️😉 My tree has sprouted 4(!!) new nubs (or is it nibs?) of some kind (leaves? Branches? Too soon to tell) and the nameless decapitated part has begun to sprout roots (🥳) and as we were chatting @shegrowshere said something that was about the tree but it was kinda profound to me. The leaves that the tree had were using the energy. But since that part got broken off, the energy that would have gone to the leaves was put to a different use - something new. The potential for growth was there, but wasn’t realized until that section was broken off. Please don’t come around and break my plants — it’s not something I’m fond of. But. It definitely gives a different perspective on things in life we’d otherwise see as “broken”. Ok. That’s all I got. For this planty post. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 • • • • • • #plantsarecheaperthantherapy #soaresisters #fiddleleaffig #thingsilearnfromplants #letitgo #growyourselfintosomethingnew #seewhatididthere https://www.instagram.com/p/B_y-7U3JncB/?igshid=s195uv55mwoq
