4. do you think its ok to separate the artist from the art?
5. if you had to get a tattoo right now, what would you get and where?
I've never asked anybody on Tumblr before so yeet
Ok there are a bunch of different things Iām ranting about in my head that Iām too insecure to share, but I will say that I hate that my role in this world has to be defined by my gender. As a female, Iām supposed to take pride in being me and yet my gender, a trait I was born with, sets me back? Iām only 17, but I have to start thinking about how my choices from now on are going to impact my future family, and yes a family is most likely in my future, but what happens before then? What am I supposed to do, just work for a family? Is that the only job I was born to do? I have to follow a set of rules to be a respectable woman and yet I receive no respect for being a woman. I donāt wear makeup to impress anyone, I wear it because it makes me feel good. I donāt wear a hijab because Iām suppressed to but because itās a choice Iāve made. The bottom line is, your honor, that women carry more than they can hold and that needs to be addressed. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk Iāll be here forever ;)
4. Do you think itās ok to separate the artist from the art?
This question for me is pretty relative, as it depends on the actual art itself. If youāre talking about art where you draw and create, then no itās not ok - the artist deserves love for their creation and it encourages them to continue creating. When it comes to acting as an art, then yes. I do this with things that I watch - when Iām watching a show or movie where I like a character but not the actor, such as with Gina Carano on the Mandalorian, I try to separate the creator and the creation - I shouldnāt like or dislike a character because of the actorās personality, but because of the characterās personality, you know?
5. If you had to get a tattoo right now, what would you get and where?
Well Iām not really allowed to get a tattoo, but if I were to, Iād get a little spiral sun on the back of my hand between my thumb and index finger (yes Iāve thought about the answer to this question before because I like to play around with henna sometimes and usually thatās my go-to tattoo when Iām practicing)
Iām glad Iām your first response then bro, hope my answer is fulfilling and not lame like myself :D
