Asc 2 John is so MOE simply because he still tries to act kingly to Fujimaru even when he keeps telling everyone and himself that he is the most worthless king in the world. For example, his 3rd dialogue in My Room:

He switches from using the first-person pronoun ใไฟบใ (ore) to ใไฝใ (yo) - the one that is used for a person with king status. English equivalent to this is switching from casual "I" to the royal plural "we", I think. I would translate this line to this:
"The relationship between you and me? Who in their right mind would ask MEโah, no, USโthat question to OUR face? You fool."
