FINALLY answering this three-day old ask.

so, i think this scenario would be completely different depending on which span of time it would take place in.

a pre-mizu5 fake dating au would be... quite angsty, on mizuki's side. they of course both have feelings, and mizuki is also being eaten alive by her usual guilt but now even more bc she cant help but wonder if ena would still be feeling safe faking a relationship with her if she knew. ena would feel the distance between them increasing the more couple-y they have to act and she would start thinking mizuki has guessed she has a crush on her and is repulsed by the idea. it would be an angstfest. fr.

HOWEVER. post-ena5 fake dating au would be SO FUN. both are now like. completely open with each other. there's this newfound openness and trust and they're now both capable of being vulnerable with one another. they're... so close and so in tune. they'd be a bit TOO good at acting like a couple. bc they already are, tbh. but they're both sooo used to pining in secret they're just giddy at the idea of being able to let some instincts out without jeopardizing their friendship that they don't realize how down bad the other is. they start acting like a couple even when it's just the two of them without even noticing is it THAT natural. it would be so fun and so ridiculous for everyone involved... mafuyu would clock their tea sooo fast and not say anything just to see how long till the idiots realize when they're just. making out. for "faking" purposes of course. even tho it's just the two of them. lmfao

Steve's hold gets weaker, and Bucky's eyes get wetter, but their gaze doesn't break, not once.

As Bucky starts holding him tighter, and brings Steve's hand to his mouth and kissing his knuckles, all while keeping his eyes on Steve's, Steve rubs his nose against Bucky's slightly, and Bucky knows.

This is their last minute together. Steve is ready. It's really happening.
