So fluffy...😘
Poisonous Pie
warnings?: fluff still (sorry but this is a slow burnnnn)
who?: Casey Gardner
ding
Who could that possibly be? I walked down the stairs, my hair was a mess, I had been studying all day, so who could blame me? I slowly opened the door. Elsa was there, a pie platter in her hand, a smile plastered on her face.
“Oh..hi Elsa.”
I slowly smile, trying to seem polite, she does a little chuckle before starting her usual nonsense ramble.
“Hi sweetie! You know, Casey told me about your ankle so I just thought to give you this..and invite you over for dinner?”
I nodded, suprised by the kindness. It was tricky with Elsa. Casey would complain about her all the time so obviously I had a little bit of hatred for her, but she was also so very nice when she wanted to be. Elsa liked me…or at least that’s what I thought. Elsa was good at faking things so you could never be too sure.
“Thank you. Sure yeah, i’ll be happy to have dinner with the Gardners.”
“Good dear, follow me!”
She turned around and joyfully walked with me one block down to their own house. Yes, me and Casey didn’t live too far from each other. It was convenient to be bestfriends because of this reason. She opened the door and my eyes drifted to their couch, the same couch I sat on while Casey held peas to my ankle while looking at me too deeply for my liking. I closed my eyes to get the vision out of my head and took a deep breath, following Elsa to her kitchen. She set the pie down on her suspiciously clean counter top. She looked at me and smiled.
“You know, you are such a pretty young lady.”
“Thank you Mrs. Gardner.”
“Call me Elsa, my own children even call me Elsa.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle, Casey had been calling her Mom by her first name for the longest time. I tried to wipe the smile off my face but she sensed what I was thinking and chuckled with me.
“Yes, you probably know that.”
She said quickly, pulling out ingredients from the refrigerator, setting them on the counter. She nodded towards the stairs.
“Casey is upstairs in her bedroom.”
I nodded and thanked her, walking up the stairs, limping slightly, but my ankle was feeling a whole lot better since I twisted it. I made my way to the front of her door, knocking softly. She opened it and smiled.
“Ah, I see my mom carried out her dinner plans. She thinks I made you trip or something.”
I laughed, but something flickered in my eyes. She did make me trip in some way. Maybe it was my fault, I do remember being distracted looking at her face. I sat on her bed, the relief of not having to walk on my ankle jolted through my body nicely. She sat next to me, laying her body down and looking at the ceiling.
“Sooo, how’s that pretty little ankle you have there.”
“Not so pretty. Maybe pretty purple.”
“Maybe? Hah, you have to be joking.”
“Okay, maybe not maybe, maybe a whole lotta purple.”
She nodded, sitting back up, looking down at my ankle with a smirk.
“Coach misses you.”
“Oh i’m sure she does. She keeps emailing my Mom.”
Casey snorted and nudged my shoulder, a bit too softly. It got a little quiet but not totally uncomfortable. Recently it’s been like this. Something unsaid always floating between us. I just couldn’t put a pin to it.
“So what’s for dinner?”
“Probably some recipe Elsa found on facebook.”
“Sounds extremely delicious.”
“Deliciously poisonous maybe.”
“Maybe.”
She side glanced at me, sighing a bit. Then completely avoiding eye contact. This felt extremely weird. It was unlike Case to avoid eye contact unless she was lying in some form, but really nothing we discussed was lie worthy.
Later, I helped her study some biology. Soon after that, the sound of her Mom calling dinner floated up through the second story. I almost huffed in relief. Something that might be tension floated unnaturally and subconsciously between us.
yum yum

i love it so much when i sit down on the floor next to someone who's sitting higher and i get to rest my side and head on their legs, makes me feel like a pup

Wanted to do at least one drawing for MerMay, so I decided to draw my little fluffy moth guy. I also tried something new with the line art, and I think it came out rather well.
Updated ref sheet for my vampire oc Novu!
Prefers to drink blood from blood banks, as it's much cleaner and efficient (and it comes chilled). Outgoing and friendly but has some anxiety issues. Plays football (soccer) in a striker position.
He can go out into the sunlight for -insert good lore reason here-, but it's still very uncomfortable for him so he covers up as much as possible. Long sleeves, sunscreen, umbrellas etc.
A young vampire, who was really into all the stories the elder vampires told about the olden times. But when he started to do some research he realised how wrong they all were, either through bias or faulty memory. He's now a supreme history nerd. Check your sources, you will be fact checked.
I can’t decide how I want the creature to look. BEEg expressive floppy ears are peak though.
