Okay, Game of Thrones.

Some guy was king and something happened to him and he clearly didn't leave clear enough instructions because now everyone and their mother thinks they deserve to be sitting on the single most uncomfortable throne in all of human history.

Joffrey's a dick. Yeah.

There are twins that are sleeping together? They pushed a child out of a tower.

The Starks have wolves and we like Arya and Sansa. (NB: I have no idea how to pronouce Arya).

EVERYONE DIES. OH MY STARS EVERYONE DIES.

There was a wedding where a shit ton of people died? Yeah. Idk who was getting married or whether they survived but I'm sure their day didn't go as planned either way.

DRAGON GIRL. Her name is Dany, well it's longer than that but I can't spell it. She's got dragons. She's a Khaleesi. She had a hot husband but then something happened. (It's Game of Thrones, he probably died)

Dragon girl's brother (I think) got gold poured on his face. Yay.

Sansa is steadily becoming more and more badass. She actually liked Joffrey at one point but I guess she doesn't anymore because, as previously mentioned, he's a dick.

Natalie Dormer isn't blonde and that's confusing. I have literally zero idea what effect she has on the plot except she talks to Sansa about liking pretty girls.

There's a wall and like zombies or some such shit? Idk I feel like that's probably a big plot line so I haven't a clue (naturally).

There was some guy who always wore yellow and seemed nice, so he died. Obvs.

Peter Dinklage is related to the incest twins, I think? And one of the incest twins is Lena Headey? Possibly?

Also dragon girl has her own separate story line and hasn't actually interacted with a single character in the other plotline, making me think that maybe she is just there because dragons are fucking awesome. Oh and she can't be burnt by fire because she's from a certain family? (Which is exactly how biology and physics don't work.)

Psychic boy from Doctor Who who doesn't age at a normal rate was in it. Not a clue what he did but he was pretty hot from the pictures I've seen.

Jon Snow knows nothing. His girlfriend died. From the gifs I've seen of her, she seemed pretty cool.

There's like a bajillion families and they all have names and mottos and crests and shit. Yeah. 

Basically incest, death, swearing and sex. That's like the whole thing summed up. Also people want a throne but yet again, I ask, surely you'd want a different throne? Any other throne? Why oh why would you want a throne made of pointy things? Seriously people.

So yeah. That's all I know. Again very light on actual plot related details.
