Parasnailing in action
So a new-to-me fact about aquatic snails.
Snoud, Fishiroth’s roommate and golden snail, is charged with cleaning the tank. He does a very good job. I have been noticing that Fishiroth tends to bully him, as in, swimming really close to him, and Snoud often drops from the highest places on the sides of the tank to float into the greens or to the floor of the tank.
My ever-wise future marine biologist child, @parspicle informed me the other day that what Snoud is doing is happy, contented behavior as opposed to being Fishiroth’s victims.
His behavior is called parasnailing, and it means he’s happy!
This is Snoud, Fishiroth’s tank mate. He is a golden snail who works diligently to keep Fishiroth’s tank clean. (He is very happy and seems to enjoy Fishiroth’s occasional bullying.)
