The battle had raged for hours as Sonic faced off against the combined forces of Nazo and Ixis, and all three of them had cycled through many of their most potent forms throughout the course of the fierce battle, decimating the area around them in the process, leaving naught but craters and scorched earth in their wake.Finally, as Sonic fell to one knee, his Hyper form slowly waning, Nazo seized the chance, kneeing the noble hedgehog squarely in the teeth, breaking many of them and sending his victim spiraling through the air like a football shot out of a cannon. Ixis followed suit, using his mastery over wind to catch up with the helplessly flying creature, slamming him in the gut with his staff, the force of the blow sending him skyward. as he flew, barely conscious from the blows, a voice sounded in his head “Sonic.....time to let a God take hold...”, it beckoned, its tone cold and heroic at the same time, “forget all your foolish notions of mercy, these villains deserve NONE OF IT!” it bellowed as his fur flashed ashen grey “n...no....”, he argued, having seen once before this persona’s utter brutality, “they can....still be saved....” he added right before narrowly avoiding a Chaos Blast from Nazo, the energy singeing the tips of his quills “YOU FOOL, CAN YOU NOT SEE, THEY MEAN TO KILL YOU!” the other voice yelled angrily “EITHER SET ME FREE, OR DIE FOR YOUR FOES!” it said as Sonic’s left arm, beyond his control, first blocked a thrust from Ixis’s horn before snapping the bony appendage off, impaling the removed section in the mage’s shoulder, eliciting a loud bellow as the monster recoiled “like these two can beat me.” Sonic chuckled while landing a kick to Ixis’s face, sending him stumbling further backward “are you BLIND?” the more wrathful voice called before taking control of Sonic’s right leg, then driving the heel into Nazo’s side as the crazed being attempted to grab Sonic, merely resulting in an angry counter attack which shattered Blue’s hip.

“enough of this!” the voice called out, now audible not only to Sonic but to the rest of the combatants as well, a chaotic swirling energy appearing around the agonized hero “YOU HAVE HELD ME BACK FOR FAR TOO LONG, SONIC!!” it yelled as the upper half of  a translucent pale grey, muscular hedgehog rose out of Sonic’s body, causing Ixis and Nazo both to back up slightly, likely more than a bit confused by the sight as the being placed its hands on Sonic’s waist and pushed, its lower half becoming more and more visible before, accompanied by a blinding flash, it leaped away from him, its body solidifying as it opened its silver eyes, a look of pure, unmitigated rage on them “two villains, alike in cowardice, too weak to handle even this pathetic excuse for a champion by themselves, were it not for your crimes....you would not even be worth the slight effort it will take to kill you..” it laughed, shrugging off both a fireball from Ixis and a chaos beam from Nazo

“One Sonic or two...either way you’re goin’ down” Nazo said cockily before charging at it, only to be caught by his fists and flipped to the ground, then held down with a hard pressing foot on his throat “you are next, foul mage....” the hedgehog said unleashing a barrage of psionic attacks, each one finding its mark, leaving deep dents and cracked bones wherever they struck, eventually forcing Ixis to kneel “now die!” the grey hedgehog said charging a psionic beam, meant for the tyrant’s heart, only to be stunned by an energy ball from his pinned captive hitting hims squarely on the chin, recoiling him off the red hedgehog, thus opening him up to the furious flurry of attacks unleashed by the insane creature. at first, these strikes seemed effective, the recipient flexing backward with each strike as if feeling pain, though his gaze never changed, remaining as a glare of hatred until finally, in what seemed like an instant, he grabbed Nazo’s fist as the energy being tried to strike him in the face and snapped the arm with a lightning fast twist. “good work, fool of the Emeralds, you have just volunteered for your ally’s death...” he said before placing the hand that had been charging up the psionic beam on Nazo’s chest and unleashing the brilliantly bright attack at point-blank range, turning the poor victim back to energy, which then retreated back into the master emerald as always.
