It shamefully took me too long, but there's the next part of my tutorials on how to program games for the SNES, check it out here: https://georgjz.github.io/snesaa07/
Finally! Writing this one was a bit of a...pain. But now you can continue your Assembly Adventure! Why do boring stuff like Unity if you can program your own SNES game instead? This time, we'll see how to pass arguments to a subroutine in a safe way and concise way. Read here: https://georgjz.github.io/snesaa06/
It took some time, but here is part four of my series on programming the SNES! Check it out here: https://georgjz.github.io/snesaa04/
I shamelessly reskinned Solid Snake from the original Metal Gear 2 and put him into my SNES demo. I hope to add some enemies soon(I'm really bad at pixeling sprites)

her: *cuddling me and trying to get me to relax*
me: "ok but v-blank only lasts for so long so how do I scroll a tilemap as the player moves through the level? I can't load an entire mirror into VRAM each frame, I'd almost have to just load the edges that are being scrolled..."
her: "babe shut up and cuddle"
Solid Snake walking around my SNES demo - I hope to add collision detection soon
First Note
Hi everyone. This summer I decided that it is time to build my own boat. Also, this is the perfect opportunity to start my own blog. It is 2017 after all. Beside the building blog for my sailing skiff you will also have to indulge me when I show off my shamefully bad drawing and programming skills - like my Pong knock-off, I programmed for the SNES or other old-school machines. But that is for another note.
Besides me building a boat and programming for obsolete consoles and computers, you might at times find me rambling about synths and guitar effects I design and build that usually fail when the magic smoke escapes(tubes are unforgiving mistresses). I might also write about how my teams (NY Rangers and Giants!) toy with my feelings every other night no matter how many times I pray to God for them to win(why would anyone bench Eli? Madness). To be fair, the Rangers are finally doing well after a rough start.
Hope you enjoy.
