While Vash was sleeping, Rachael slowly pushed sand over him till he was buried like someone at the beach. They were taking a break anyway. She wanted to have a little fun. @splinter-sister
Normally, Vash would just push through any tiredness lagging his footsteps as he wandered through the desert expanse of Noman's Land, but with a traveling companion pointing out an outcropping of stone and mentioning "taking a break", his willpower crumbled quickly to that excellent idea. The idea was so good in fact that he'd asked if she'd be able to take first watch so he could take a little snoozle. Twenty minutes at most, surely nothing could happen in that time?
By the time she finally packed sand over his boots, Vash started to stir with a tired groan andβ ... It shouldn't be this hard to sit up. His bright blue eyes shot open and quickly darted down to see the sandy mound that had overtaken his body and his feisty redheaded friend putting on the finishing touches. He tried to give his feet a little wiggle, only barely shifting the sand, "... I didn't think I was out long enough for you to try and throw me a funeral! Get bored or something, Rachael?"
Now with a little amused smile, he gives another wam-y wiggle to half-heartedly try to free himself... Only to suddenly scrunch up his face a bit before delivering a TREMENDOUS dad sneeze that blew sand off his chest and into the arid air. SHNEEF... "S'cuse me."
