Cain isn’t just the teasing butler archetype—though he certainly enjoys playing that role.
What makes him compelling is the way he slips so easily between moods: teasing one moment, quietly perceptive the next. He knows more than he lets on, and he wields that knowledge with the same precision as any weapon.
He’s competent to the point of being indispensable, but it’s the tone that lingers—sardonic, clever, a little too amused at everyone else’s expense. And yet, that very wit draws people in. Beneath the smirk, Cain reads the room better than most, and you can tell he’s carrying more than just duty behind those sharp remarks. It is obvious that he has his own agenda, but he is still very loyal and protects and helps those he considers worthy.
In other words: he’s a mood, yes, but also a mystery worth paying attention to. I’m sure there’s still so much to learn about him.
