Hey! Sorry for spamming your notes a bit! Just wanna say I like your blog, and it's always great to see someone on here promoting good reptile (and other animal) husbandry practices, so thanks for your snake posts.
On that subject, I saw your posts about target training your snakes, and it's really cool! I'm glad that's going well for you! I've been trying to find resources on training snakes, to hopefully apply with my own, but it's inexplicably hard for me to watch youtube channels for that info, so I was wondering if you know if any of the people you follow on there have good websites, or otherwise keep a text-based online version of their knowledge and experiences? I'd really like to learn from the knowledgeable people who run some really good youtube channels, but as I said I can't really do that by going on youtube..
No worries if not! Just figured since you mentioned the target training you might know some good places to look! Either way, I like your content and hope you're having a good day!
Thanks
Whoa hi! I’m not used to getting asks so sorry I totally missed this. Its been a while, but if you’re still interested I absolutely recommend looking into the work of Lori Torrini. I use her youtube but she does have a website with a lot of written info and an article she wrote about the whole training process here!

Well, my training that I’ve been doing with Penelope seems to be making some progress. Every time before I feed her I tap the side of her terrarium twice with the tongs to signal that I’m opening the cage to give her food. The other night she came shooting out of her hiding place beneath her eggcrate and began dancing across the glass when I did so. I’m thinking that she’s got the idea now, but what to do next?
