Savor the mouthwatering glaze of BBQ sauce and the aromatic spice rub of expertly smoked BBQ ribs. Perfect for any fan of barbecue!
Ingredients: 2 racks of baby back ribs. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons paprika. 1 tablespoon black pepper. 1 tablespoon salt. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Wood chips for smoking hickory or applewood. BBQ sauce for basting.
Instructions: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create the rub. Rub the spice mixture over both sides of the ribs, coating them evenly. Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for better flavor penetration. Prepare your smoker with wood chips and preheat to 225F 107C. Place the ribs on the smoker grates and smoke for 3-4 hours, maintaining a steady temperature. Baste the ribs with BBQ sauce during the last hour of smoking. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick between the bones; it should slide in easily. Once done, remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve the smoked BBQ ribs with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Latest purchases for the Airbnb. Little table to go between the adirondacks and a fire pit/bbq grill.
We’re building a brick fireplace & pizza oven (you can see some of the bricks back there) but it’s not going as quickly as we’d like and I’ve had a couple inquiries about a fire pit or cooking back there. So I picked this up to use until the other is built.
Now we have to finish cutting up that tree that fell so there’s logs to burn in there! Or maybe pick up those duraflame things?
Anyhow, the money pit grows on…
