The last time IMPOTUS spelled “smocking” instead of “smoking” I thought to myself that I should dig out my smocking machine if it happened again, and then it did, and so I did. Ta-da!
This Sally Stanley machine was given to me by a relative who had a fiber arts/clothing biz, back in the 1990s, when she decided she didn’t want to play with it anymore, and I used it on-and-off during grad school for various dyeing projects. I was way into Ana Lisa Hedstrom at the time.
Needles for these things are (..does math..) $1.27 apiece, as the machines are no longer made, but a general purpose needle that works with these is still available. I need to find a use for this or sell it.
