Axe with leather sheath. I got a little decoration stamped into this one.
That axe on the right is a real dream!
Fresh out of the shop, viking style railspike axe. The handle is so smooth and it flys quite nicely!
Time to quench that axe!

A couple new Rail Spike Tomahawks go out into the world. It is really cool to take objects that have been discarded and re-work them into new life. From useless to useful in just a few hours. This pair is rough/forge finished with a basic edge applied. The handles are fire hardened and soaked in linseed oil and then sanded to 400 grit for a smooth finish. The balance is good for some short distance throwing.
This is an axe/tomahawk made from a rail road spike with a high carbon bit forge welded into it. The head is about 7 inches with a cutting edge of about 5 inches and a handle of 18 inches. The handle is hard maple. The blade has been heat treated and sharpened to an edge.
