Scavenging the park for answers was unquestioningly a horrid place to begin, its colorful inhabitants and attractions steering Jade well away from her primary objective. Certain she was finally on track, alabaster ears atop the girl's head would pivot, discerning a mongrel just a ways off.
Well, it wasn't Bec, but it sure was a dog -- she wasn't complaining. Clasping both hands against her lap in an amiable beckon, Jade would begin to fawn over the ruddy hound from afar, the creases of her mouth splitting into a gaping smile.
"aww! aren't you a cute doggy?? c'mere!"
The burning impulse to bark was undeniable.
