the halidom of ylisse is a sight to behold, even if impressions are simply based on what little he can see beyond the designated boundaries set by its prince and princess. there is no going beyond the castle grounds, a hard rule that he respects... although his curiosity can’t help but boil beneath his fibers. this is a place he would love to visit someday, along with the... many other locations on his mental bucket list.
alas, he will just have to make do with what he has, and the party is awaiting him. he wasn’t sure what would be considered standard, admittedly, so he attempted to bake some star bit cookies to give to everyone. they’re rather uneven with some cookies being more overdone than others, but... he gave it an honest shot. he’s improved with his baking! sort of.
with tupperware container in hand, geno enters the ballroom, immediately stricken by how extravagant it is. the next thing he feels is... out of place, a humbler sort than the glory of star haven would often dictate of him. as lavish as his garb is, it still pales in comparison to those surrounding him, even when held to the same standard of his own mother. his cheeks grow a little heated with realization that, as his life often goes, he’s a bit of an outlier. it’s a mite embarrassing, naturally. rather mute with uncertainty, he shuffles to the nearest table with empty space, setting the cookies down there and just... watching.
everyone looks so natural, so much like they belong here. he can’t help but feel a little awkward and withdrawn, hanging at the sidelines and fiddling with the hem of his cape. hum.
