Holly walked into the office, she hadn’t seen Lex all day. She had been busy with some business that had come into town and since she was in charge of Gotham’s underworld while her father was away, she knew that she was the one that had to handle it. She didn’t expect that it would take so long, it took until the evening hours when she had finally finished and gotten back to Luthor Mansion.
Something else Holly hadn’t expected was running into a retreating Lionel Luthor who was exiting his son’s office and with only a look between them she turned her attention to the door and opened it slightly, smiling softly when she saw Lex by the window. She walked in as quietly as she could, closing the door behind her and walking over to the window, looking out at the moon that was peeking out behind the clouds and then turning her attention to Lex and she could tell right away that he needed her, whether he said anything or not she could always see it and be able to tell.
Holly wrapped her arms around his middle and rested her head on his chest. “So...wanna talk about what happened?” she asked softly, referring to a possible showdown between Lex and his father. “You don’t have to if you don’t want to.” she added before standing up to look at him, turning his face so he was looking at her. “Talk to me or not, just let me talk to you. You’re going to be just fine, whatever happened just now is done and over with and for the moment he can’t do a damn thing to you anymore. And whether you find this as a good thing or not, you’ll become president. I know you will, and you’ll be stuck with me right by your side because I don’t intend leaving it any time soon.”

“I know that, Lex, but not only am I curious about what you dream of when you’re in this state, but I’m curious to know just what was happening in that one that I just woke you up from. Seemed pretty hot to me.” Mercy shrugged. A smirk appeared on her face when he had gotten to the end of his explanation. “Oh yeah? So that one was about me...maybe.” she said, taking a step towards the bed.
“Hmm, well you’ll probably get out of the bed if I don’t...” Mercy trailed off as she pushed her jacket off of her, letting it fall to the floor and she stepped over to get her heels out of the way before she crawled over to the bed, laying down on the empty side of it as she caressed the side of his face. “Oh Lex...you are one sweet, sad and complicated man, aren’t you?” she asked in a soft and seductive tone as she teased him by getting her face a little closer to his, but keeping her actions slow.

Holly took a step towards Lex after he had told her his confession. There were definitely things that Holly would never dream of doing, and killing her father was one of them. However, for Lex she somehow understood his actions. She understood that this was something he probably felt he needed to do. There wasn’t much she could do but rub his back as she looked at him.
“I understand, Lex. I can’t say I’m impressed or that I’m surprised, just that I understand. And I know you’ll make a path for yourself and your destiny, and...I just hope I can be a part of your future.”

“You know, normally I wouldn’t want anyone to call me ‘Madam’,” she said, using her own air quote fingers before putting them down. “but as always, for you I make nearly every exception.” she smiled. “Especially if you’re going to compliment me that well.” she giggled when they had fell on to the grass outside of his family’s mansion. “This place is much different than I thought it would be.” she said, snuggling her head on Lex’s chest as she looked up at him, keeping one of her hands in his as she intertwined their fingers.
