Another Winter Earth day. Another trek through the twinkling snow that reminded him vaguely of the precipitation back home on Irk, but was made up of that terrible polluted water particles that burned any and every cell of his skin that it touched. Wonderful. It seemed that even the layers of sweaters, gloves, hats, and scarves he'd piled onto himself in preparation weren't enough to protect him from the dreadful weather, and he hissed to himself as he felt a stray snowflake melt through his armour and burn against his neck. He didn't even want to think about the piles of snow he'd have to walk through when he actually arrived at Skool. Honestly. You'd think the humans would care a little less about shoveling out their driveways and a little more about shoveling the pathways to where they sent their children to learn. Or maybe not, since they hadn't even managed to create hover vehicles yet. Stupid stupid humans.

He slipped on a bit of ice while he was muttering angrily under his breath about how they should have canceled Skool today and fell face first into a nearby snowbank. He froze. And then he screamed. He dug himself out of the bank, several panicky pants falling from his mouth as he did his best to swipe the snow from his face without letting it soak through his 5 layers of gloves. This operation was of minimal success. Ugh, he could hear his skin sizzling from the contact.

Once he let his hands drop to his side, he noticed someone who had likely been staring at him for a while now. Normally, his reaction to this would be to give an awkward smile, quickly assuring the person that he was a completely normal human child and that he wasn't hurt at all. A proper invader would never admit weakness to the enemy. Never. But this was- This wasn't a human. 

                her. the little alien girl. they could introduce themself like a normal person. of course, that option's completely out the window with them.
