@smallestmuses
im not sure i 100% agree but that could be interesting! iirc the end of the andalite chronicles leads more or less into the beginning of the yeerk invasion of earth so giving us a sense of how long the invasion has been going on before the show actually starts would be cool. plus it would make elfangor's death even more crushing to the audience if weve spent all this time getting to know him
the only thing is that it might be alienating to anyone unfamiliar with the series, altho depending on ur point of view that might not be a bad thing lmao
my biggest issue tho with placing the AC at any point in the series before the pretender is that the AC spoils the twist at the end of that book, which is that elfangor is tobias's dad. ive always thought that that reveals works better if the audience finds out about it the same time tobias does, and then we get to launch into the AC immediately afterwards to find out how on earth that could possibly be true.
now that i think about it thats the exact same process by which people determine whether or not to watch star wars in order of prequels -> original trilogy or original trilogy -> prequels lol
it all boils down to opinion at the end of the day so im not necessarily saying that im right anyway
but aside from THAT -- yeah i would def be interested in seeing how they would tackle doing the AC before the main series
