The world is not designed for me
I finally gave up on imagining that yoga alone could fix my shoulder pain and bought a proper desk chair. It took me weeks of research to find one chair that might actually fit me (adjustable seat depth, properly adjustable back, balanced so that someone my size can exert enough pressure to lean back), and then another month to find a decently priced refurb from somewhere that didn't look super dodgy.
It arrived today. I took it out of the box and sat in it and I was immediately comfortable. My feet can touch the floor, I can sit against the backrest and comfortably bend my knees at a right angle, the arm rests are where my arms actually want to rest.
Is this how average sized men just exist in the world? How much of my mental energy goes into trying to get comfortable in the hot desking chairs in my office? Or trying to hold onto the railing on the bus?
