RENDEZ VOUS LE 5 JUIN AU NEW MORNING AVEC SMADJ !
Après avoir fait dansé les foules nocturnes avec « Fuck the DJ », Smadj revient avec un album plus mélodieux « Spleen » (2 juin 2015 : Jazzvillage/Harmonia Mundi).
Ce magicien de l'oud marie depuis plus de 15 ans son instrument traditionnel aux genres musicaux le plus inattendus : jazz, groove électronique, mélodies arabo-andalouses... Pour son dernier album, Smadj utilise acoustique, électricité et machines pour sculpter avec ses acolytes (Boyan Z, Sophiane Saidi, Ibrahim Maalouf, William Sabatier, Ballake Sissoko) un album de blues mutant aux parfums d'éternité. Un superbe puzzle musical dont l'effet séducteur vient de l'affectueuse complicité entre tradition(s) et modernité.
