People on the internet: I’m not sure there’s even going to be a League in Alola in Pokeani, I mean nothing indicates that.
Me: .......
Yeh sure no evidence at all. I’ll be darn surprised if it doesn’t happen, everything points to it.
I’M EMOTIONAL LOOK AT THEM AAAAAAAA

Psyduck, OMG! And Mega Evolution VS Z-Move! Two Oaks doing the preview, wow!
This episode really highlighted the thing Sun&Moon does best in terms of visuals, because despite the hype battles, I think the best parts were actually the character animation, the way the characters reacted to everything, how they moved while talking, little things like Pikachu’s highfive with Satoshi before stepping into the ring and how it responded with electricity while Satoshi called out for it, it was a delight, everything was so ALIVE. The battles were really well animated as well of course, but the actual battle writing was again pretty basic and it was a shame how the last and most important fight ended in simple stock footage. It was great to see Takeshi and Kasumi call out Satoshi for his original victories over them being basically pity badges, and them just teasing him in general. Last week was really dry, but this was the OS trio I know. From what I could tell Kukui talked to the Okidos about potentially establishing a league for Alola as well, so that’s hopefully some foreshadowing of what’s to come. So yeah, while I was pretty cynical about last week’s episode I really enjoyed this one, it was great to see some old friends again and I hope this will be the start of a bigger trend involving the rest of the companions as well~
