SLY Art Space Emerge Exhibition

1.Introduction： SLY Art Space started the “ SLY Art Space Emerge Exhibition" for young artists who crave for the opportunity to show their art and express themselves. That’s one of our major goals to provide a stage for young artists. It will be the 10th anniversary for Emerge Exhibition in 2018, curating by SLY Art Space, the exhibit will occur at The Sin Pin Pier in Kaohsiung and Good Underground Art Space in Hualien. Through the open call, we try to find the connections between the artworks and our believes. Also, we hope to get a whole new prospect from the new artist. SLY Art Space invites professional artists to observe, find out the trend or issue and open crucial conversations between artists from different art field. We call for all the new visual artists. There is no limit on form, age, nationality, and gender. If your work can present modern thinking and vision, and discuss issues like society, culture, art, and gender. Or you have your own understanding of New media and art forms, We welcome you to apply for our project.

  2.Venues and Dates：

The exhibition spaces has been listed with dates below. Please chooes one:

Taipei/ SLY Art Space  2018.08.11 – 2018.09.02

Kaohsiung/ The Sin Pin Pier 2018.06.20 – 2018.07.15  

Hualien/ Good Underground Art Space 2018.11.17 – 2018.12.17

  3.Offers：

Exhibition Space of SLY Art Space, The Sin Pin Pier, and Good Underground Art Space. Along with official website promotion, artist talk, advertisement, flyers, etc.

  4.Application Requirements：

1.    You can select several pieces but the limit of submissions is 10 photos of your works( including photos of details). If your work is video, please cut each of it to 3 minutes and submit in mpeg/mov/avi or youtube link. For photography, please submit in jpg(800x600 up, within 3Mb) or tif (800x600 up, within 6Mb).

2.    Please fill up the list with title, year, media, and description.

3.    CV with your education, experience and former exhibition description.

4.    Inspiration and motivation of creating (500 words)

5.    Please upload all the file to google drive and sent it to [email protected]

  5.Dealine of submisson：Untill 2018/04/15.

  6.Results Release：We will announce around mid May, 2018.
