Slow Reverse - Live Action Sequence
SEA INDIE WEEEEEEEK!
Listening to this languid, dreamy gem of a track by Bangkok-based group Slow Reverse, you'd be surprised to know that this came out in 2009. "But it's still so relevant!", you cry. Aha! Therein lies the charm of Thai dream-pop.Â
Echoing backing vocals, tinkling piano keys, gentle guitar strums, calming synths, ( ____ ) violin, even a vibraphone! They're allllllll in there. Perhaps it's a bit ironic that for a song titled "Live Action Sequence", it gently lulls you into a pleasant state of mind. Live action? Where is this action?Â
If this song was a day it would be a nice rainy afternoon spent indoors, reclining with a book on your most comfortable sofa in a room littered with a piano, a violin, a vibraphone. Oh, and people to play them and sing. Preferably the band members of Slow Reverse. Oh, hey.Â
Keep in touch with Slow Reverse out on their official website and Facebook. Or MySpace, if you're so inclined. And if you like what you hear, stream (and buy?) their self-titled album on BandCamp.Â
