[spoilers but i believe you’re caught up ] sukuna was a sorcerer who was thought to be too powerful and destroyed because of it. but what if he wasn’t always the bad guy. maybe he just dabbled in darker arts because he was able to control it at the time and saw use wasted potential among curses. he could have done good things, just didn’t have the most ideal methods. constantly ostracized for his growing strength and accumulation of curses he slowly lost his grip. then the negative energy became too much for him to control and gradually consumed him and made him the demon/curse he was believed to be. in this essay, i compare sukuna to wei wexian and accept all the downfall for it.
