Killed his knight after suffering years of terrible treatment and abuse

Basic story:

Run out of his village for choosing to live as a man., he fount refuge in a church and hid his identity while serving a knight.

This knight would be hot and cold with Wulf. Praising him one moment, then burning him with a looted signet ring the next. Wulf developed a strong attachment to his knight. Resenting him, but still finding himself lusting after him.

He couldn’t understand his own conflicting feelings and the constant torment pushed him to poison his knight. He fled the church, swearing that if he ever found it again he would burn it to the ground.

Before leaving, he stole the knights signet ring and changed his name to match the initial on it. He would later brag to groups he’d join about his fancy engraved signet ring that a knight gave him while he was a squire.
