He was making his way through his hockey-themed coloring book and had found a page with a dinosaur on skates. “Is Scott Hunter!” He explained, holding up the partially colored page for Hayden to see.

Ilya carried his boy into the living room, hoping that after a snack Shane would fall asleep curled up in his lap; surely a nap would help get rid of this crankiness. His boy was fine with the silence and sharing pieces of goldfish with one another—Ilya making them swim into Shane’s mouth, and Shane just shoving half his hand into Ilya’s mouth to drop a fish down his throat—for about 10 minutes before saying, “Daddy, watch blue?”

When it's 3am, and the gallons of caffeine keeping me functional finally wear off and let me actually go to sleep, seems to be right when I get all my ideas for this series lol. I now do a voice-to-text note on my phone so I don't forget and decoding those the next day is always fun, but my favorite part is the fact that it cannot get Ilya's name right for the life of it.
