I've been looking into what's apparently one of Snake Fruit's inspirations, the Imoogi dragon of Korean folklore. Do you have anything to say about their mythology and how it relates to Snake Fruit?

I'd say that their Imugi inspiration was much more tied to their concept art for their Dragon form. Imugi are known for being akin to something of a "proto-dragon" which correlates heavily with the way Snake Fruit describes itself as "almost half a Dragon" in one cutscene of their story. Imugi are often said to obtain dragonhood via living for a thousand years, or catching something called a "Yeoujiu", which is described as an orb descending from the heavens. This also shows in the way Snake Fruit first achieved dragonhood, by obtaining the Life Powder from a Dragon Orb while the others were distracted. Snake Fruit was also hinted to have lived for many years, as said by their quote when they saw Longan Dragon's final form.

And as we know, the battle between the Fruit Dragon and the Stone Dragons took place ages before Cookies and villages started to pop up throughout the world, which points to Snake Fruit being almost as old (or perhaps AS old) as the Five Dragons.

And personally, I do feel like the concept art of their Dragon form felt surprisingly finished, as though they would've actually used it in the story, but they ended up with the one we have now. It's interesting to note that the concept art feels much more "dragonlike" than the official design. At least, that's how I perceived it. I also found the idea of their Dragon form holding those two pearls as a good nod to their inspiration.
